Bookish in Fort Smith, Arkansas, will host its grand opening on August 11.

Itinerant Literate celebrated the grand opening of its physical store over the weekend.

Itinerant Literate, which opened as a bookmobile in 2015, held a grand opening celebration for its new physical store on July 21. Among the festivities were literary-themed trivia and a scavenger hunt.

Solid State Books in Washington, D.C., celebrated the grand opening of its new space on July 14 with story time, a balloon artist, and galley giveaways.

EyeSeeMe African American Children’s Bookstore was featured in an interview with St. Louis Public Radio.

Hoodline included Wild Rumpus on a list of the five top spots in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Six authors from the Puget Sound chapter of Sisters in Crime presented Liberty Bay Books in Poulsbo, Washington, with a $500 check to help the store promote women mystery/crime authors. The visiting authors were Alice K. Boatwright, Candace Robb, Martha Crites, Waverly Fitzgerald, Erica Miner, and Marty Wingate.
