April 1 Reservation Deadline for Hotel ABA at BEA

To secure the special Hotel ABA rate exclusively for bookstore members at BookExpo America 2013, booksellers must make their reservations by April 1. This year’s Hotel ABA — the Grand Hyatt New York, located at 42nd Street and Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan — offers single and double rooms at the special nightly rate of $255, plus tax (currently 14.75 percent) and a $3.50 per night occupancy fee for stays from Monday, May 27, through Sunday, June 2.
Every member store in good standing that books a room at Hotel ABA by April 1 will be entered into a drawing for free hotel nights, courtesy of BEA. The 56 prizes to be given away include:
- 1 grand prize of four free hotel nights (room and tax)
- 5 second place prizes of three free hotel nights (room and tax)
- 15 third place prizes of two free hotel nights (room and tax)
- 35 fourth place prizes of one free hotel nights (room and tax)
Access to the Hotel ABA reservations page is open to ABA member booksellers only. Details about special events at the hotel, including parties on the nights of May 28 and 29, will be provided in upcoming editions of Bookselling This Week.

“Bookselling Today: ABA Education” begins on Wednesday morning, May 29, at the Javits Convention Center, and the ABA Town Hall and Annual Membership Meeting will be on Thursday, May 30. Watch for full program details in next week’s edition.
The BEA Remainders and Gift pavilions will open on the 29th. The main exhibit area will be open from Thursday, May 30, through Saturday, June 1.
