Anthology Forum Launches on Idea Exchange

In response to requests from member booksellers, the American Booksellers Association has created an online forum specifically for users of the Anthology inventory control system. The new forum link is located directly below the general Inventory Control Forum on Bookweb's Idea Exchange. Booksellers requested the Anthology forum to essentially create an "Anthology users group."

Every week dozens of booksellers seek and share advice and information about bookselling and the book industry in the Idea Exchange forums, which are open to ABA bookstore and provisional members only. (Booksellers who do not already have a BookWeb Account will need to create one -- to do so, click here.)

In addition to the Inventory Control forums, the Idea Exchange includes the Bookseller-to-Bookseller Forum, which provides ABA member booksellers with an opportunity to network and to benefit from the perspectives that could only be gained from other booksellers; the Ask ABA Forum, which provides an opportunity to ask questions or make comments directed towards the ABA Board and staff; Ask BookSense.com, where booksellers can ask questions of the BookSense.com staff, as well as discuss concerns and find out how other booksellers are using the e-commerce site; and the Education Forum, to share thoughts and experiences, ask questions, and offer tips on material presented at ABA's education programs.

If booksellers using other inventory control systems would like to have a dedicated forum, they should contact ABA through the Ask ABA forum or by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
