Amy’s Bookcase Wins Custom Illustration From Bob Eckstein

During the Friday morning breakfast at the 2019 Winter Institute, lucky bookstore Amy’s Bookcase in Farmington, New Mexico, won the opportunity to have New Yorker cartoonist Bob Eckstein create a custom illustration of the store.

Eckstein was at Winter Institute to promote his new book, The Illustrated History of the Snowman: A Pictorial Celebration (Globe Pequot Press). Many booksellers know Eckstein from his 2016 title, Footnotes From the World’s Greatest Bookstores: True Tales and Lost Moments From Book Buyers, Booksellers, and Book Lovers (Clarkson Potter).

During the institute, Eckstein illustrated a number of events, including the following:
