ABA to Booksellers: Please Tell Us If Your Wi3 Plans Have Changed

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Winter Institute registrants who are no longer planning to attend the January 24 - 27 event in Louisville, Kentucky, are asked to contact the American Booksellers Association's Program Assistant, Margaret Nafz ([email protected]), as soon as possible to cancel both their event and hotel reservations. The association is making the request so that other ABA member booksellers who have been put on waiting lists for the booked-to-capacity event and hotel can fill their places.

Although hotel reservations were made directly with the Louisville Marriott Downtown, booksellers are asked to notify the association of their desire to cancel so their rooms will remain in the Wi3 block and can be assigned to another ABA member.

Wi3 education program registrants who do not have a confirmed reservation at the Louisville Marriott Downtown are being encouraged to book a room at another hotel as a back up. If rooms at the event hotel become available, ABA will notify booksellers in order of their position on the waiting list. A number of hotels are within blocks of the Louisville Marriott Downtown. (ABA reminds booksellers to read the hotel's cancellation policy carefully before booking a room. No special rates have been negotiated with these hotels.)
