Oren Teicher, chief executive officer of the American Booksellers Association, has been elected vice president of the International Booksellers Federation. Teicher, who will continue to serve on the IBF Council, was welcomed as vice president, at the October meeting of the IBF in conjunction with the Frankfurt Book Fair earlier this month.

In his new role as IBF vice president, Teicher said that he would continue to work with the other members of the council “to re-energize IBF as a vehicle for bookseller associations from around the world to learn from each other, as increasingly the challenges faced by booksellers in one country are similar to the issues being faced everywhere.”
