Now in its fifth year, the Editor & Bookseller Buzz Forum at BookExpo America (BEA) will feature some of the publishing industry's top professionals presenting their favorite titles for the upcoming season. Panelists scheduled to present include:

  • Bill Thomas, senior vice president and editor-in-chief, Doubleday Broadway Publishing Group;
  • Eric Chinski, executive editor, Farrar, Straus & Giroux;
  • Jonathan Burnham, senior vice president and publisher, HarperCollins;
  • Eamon Dolan, vice president and editor-in-chief, Houghton Mifflin;
  • Clive Priddle, executive editor, Public Affairs;
  • Jill Bialosky, vice president and executive editor, W.W. Norton.

Sara Nelson, editor-in-chief of Publishers Weekly, will moderate the event.

Each presenter will have 10 minutes to focus on one or two upcoming titles. According to BEA, panelists are asked to place special emphasis on books they might consider "'sleepers,' those important hidden titles of literary merit, or breakout potential, which might otherwise go unnoticed."

Titles introduced at previous Editor & Bookseller Buzz Forums include The Tender Bar by J.R. Moehringer (Hyperion), Blink by Malcolm Gladwell (Little, Brown), and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (Riverhead).

The Buzz Forum will take place on Saturday, May 20, at 4:30 p.m. at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center in Room 206. It is open to all BEA badged participants at no charge.
