Ingram

Terms & Conditions Example

To assist with the necessary policies that stores need on their website, boilerplate policies have been provided for stores to use.  The policy can be created as a Page on your IndieCommerce or IndieLite site.  The Page can then be linked in the Footer of the website to make it accessible to customers and other parties.

Limiting Product Availability to Specific Ingram Warehouses

This feature allows your store to alter the availability of books on your website based on which Ingram warehouses have the product in stock.

Limitations of this feature:

  • This feature is not recommended for stores that rely on CDF (the "Send to Ingram" button).  Limiting the warehouses will only make it harder for customers to order. (CDF shops all warehouses, regardless which ones are available to your store.)

Making the Most of Book Data on Your Website

This webinar will demonstrate the best use of the tools available to:

  • Sell sidelines, including maps, calendars, and journals through your site
  • Interpret special "admin only" data about books on your website, such as the price source, Ingram desire score, and Family ID
  • Get the most out of Local Store Inventory (LSI), not for sale, store pricing, and other tools
  • Adjust the search algorithm to surface books and products more relevant for your store
  • Enable and disable partner content from NPR and LitHub, plus ebooks and digital audiobooks

Order Processing, Part 2

In this webinar we will discuss:

  • Processing credit card orders...continued
  • Processing PayPal orders
  • Processing giftcard/credit card orders
  • Sending orders to Ingram
  • Handling tax-exempt orders

Orders

The main page listing all orders for review is at Store > Orders. Here you will find a list of all active orders and it is from here that you will process these orders as needed. In this document, we’ll review what each order status means and the difference between Store Fulfilled Orders and Wholesaler Fulfilled Orders. We will also go over 5 basic order scenarios and how to complete them.

Wholesaler Fulfillment

Many stores have questions about why an order did or did not go to Ingram (the wholesaler), and why the 'Send to Ingram' button does not appear for certain orders.

Listed below are the conditions for when the ‘Send to Wholesaler’ button will not appear and what conditions will cause an order to not be sent automatically to the wholesaler, when that preference is enabled.
