Greenlight Bookstore plans literary/culinary event with Indies Introduce author; Bound & Loose Leaf opens in Ohio; The Little Read Book marks 30 years; Diane’s Books celebrates 25th anniversary; Read Between the Lynes to relocate this fall

For every trade copy of Leanne Brown’s cookbook Good and Cheap: Eat Well on $4/Day sold, Workman Publishing will donate a second copy to a person or family experiencing food insecurity.

The Ol’ Curiosities & Book Shoppe in Monroeville, Alabama, has been preparing for the July 14 release of Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman for months. Since February, the To Kill a Mockingbird author’s hometown bookstore has pre-sold 1,000 more copies of the new book than the town has residents.

Based on sales at independent bookstores nationwide for the eight-week period ending July 5, 2015.

On Friday, July 10, the Wall Street Journal and the U.K.’s the Guardian will offer an online preview of the first chapter of Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman. The novel goes on sale on July 14.
