Seattle is famous for its bookstores! We have lined up some options for a fantastic full-day tour, as well as half-day tours, to visit a variety of stores.
All itineraries are subject to change. Bookstore Tours are available to Wi2023 registrants only. Booksellers will need to be signed into BookWeb to register for the tours.
 

Pre-registration for some of the bookstore tours are closed, but there may be spaces available for purchase via credit card on a first come, first served basis at the event. If there are seats available, you can sign up starting at 8:40 am for the full-day tours and 12:40 pm for the half-day tours on Monday, February 20, at the Seattle Convention Center, Level 1. Space is limited.

Otherwise, if you would like to guarantee your spot on a tour, please register for one that still has space available.

 

 
Wi2023 Full-Day Bookstore Tour
Monday, February 20 | 9:00 am to 4:00 pm PT
$85 per person; includes lunch
Limit of 3 seats per store on all tours.
 
Your reservation includes a gluten free, vegan box lunch containing a niçoise salad, an apple, a bag of Popchips, a dessert bar, and a 16 oz. bottle of water.
 
FULL-DAY CENTRAL
 
 
Bookstores include: Elliott Bay Book Company, University Book Store, Third Place Books Ravenna, Phinney Books, Secret Garden Bookshop, and Queen Anne Book Company.
Elliott Bay Book Company: Located in the heart of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, The Elliott Bay Book Company is a full service bookstore. We offer one of the region's best selection of new books, with over 150,000 titles, as well as a large collection of remainders.
University Book Store: Our main store carries an extensive selection of new and used general books, college textbooks, reference books, children's books, bargain books, art supplies, and University of Washington imprinted goods.
Third Place Books Ravenna: Third Place Books is the deliberate and intentional creation of a community around books and the ideas inside them. Third Place Books is a general interest bookstore with over 40,000 books in Ravenna. It is a fun, comfortable, and safe place to browse, linger, lounge, relax, read, eat, laugh, play, talk, listen, and just watch the world go by.
Phinney Books: A small, general-interest bookstore in the heart of Seattle's Phinney Ridge/Greenwood neighborhood.
Secret Garden Bookshop: We are celebrating our 45th year of providing fine books for all ages. Personal service, quality selection and educational support are our hallmarks.
Queen Anne Book Company: The Queen Anne Book Company is an independent, full service bookstore located in Seattle, Washington at the top of Queen Anne hill. Our mission is to serve as both the literary source and the community meeting place for the Queen Anne community. Our goal as an independent bookstore is to be a foundational, contributing, and viable part of this neighborhood. We feel it is an honor to be part of the regional book-selling profession, which further serves local and global literacy.

Half Price Books - Redmond: With more than 120 stores across the country, plus a website with customers and sellers around the globe, we’ve become America’s largest family-owned retailer for new and used books.
Brick & Mortar Books: Brick & Mortar Books is focused on being a community resource with author events, over 20,000 new books, and exceptional customer service.
BookTree: BookTree is a full service Independent new and gently used bookstore with Author Events, Poetry Readings, Bookclubs, Workshops, and much more. Owner Chris is passionate about books and literature and believes bookstores are also important community gathering places that allow the open exchange of ideas.
Third Place Books Lake Forest Park: We are a large independent bookstore, just outside of Seattle, with over 200,000 new and used books. We have 5 restaurants, a large common gathering space, and extensive author events program and over 800 community events a year.

Queen Anne Book Company: The Queen Anne Book Company is an independent, full service bookstore located in Seattle, Washington at the top of Queen Anne hill. Book Larder: Book Larder offers a carefully curated selection of cookbooks, as well as classes and author events in our in-store kitchen.
Phinney Books: A small, general-interest bookstore in the heart of Seattle's Phinney Ridge/Greenwood neighborhood.

Bookstores include: Third Place Books Seward Park, Loving Room, Blue Kettle Books, and Elliott Bay Book Company.
Third Place Books Seward Park: Third Place Books is the deliberate and intentional creation of a community around books and the ideas inside them. Founded in 1998 in Lake Forest Park, we opened a store in the Seward Park neighborhood in 2016. It is a fun, comfortable, and safe place to browse, linger, lounge, relax, read, eat, laugh, play, talk, listen, and just watch the world go by.
Loving Room: LOVING ROOM: diaspora books + salon is a Black-owned community reading room (bookstore + cultural salon) featuring various genres of literature by Black + African writers for readers of all ages. They curate a selection of new and used reading material from US-born Black authors, African, Caribbean, and other Diaspora writers to be read on-site, with a variety of new current titles available for purchase.
Blue Kettle Books: Blue Kettle Books is a traveling bookstore filled with a rich trove of buzzy, new books & off-radar classics for all ages - plus colorful art prints and more.
Elliott Bay Book Company: Located in the heart of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, The Elliott Bay Book Company is a full service bookstore. We offer one of the region's best selection of new books, with over 150,000 titles, as well as a large collection of remainders.

Bookstores include: Ada's Technical Books, University Book Store, and Third Place Books Ravenna.
Ada's Technical Books: Ada's Technical Books & Cafe is Seattle's technical bookstore. We build community through science minded literature, a vegetarian cafe, specialty coffee, coworking, and an intimate event venue.
