Creating Opportunities for Professional Development (Idea Exchange) 605 & 610, Level 6, Seattle Convention Center

Professional development — that is, identifying goals and learning new skills — is vital for employee satisfaction. Providing opportunities for professional development signals that an employer values the skills and potential the employee brings to the store. Facilitated by bookstore owners who have successfully created road maps for employee success, this idea exchange is the place to be if you are looking for ways to create a more fulfilling work environment. (Managers)

Speakers: Meghan Hayden, River Bend Bookshop (Glastonbury, Connecticut); Rebecca Leber-Gottberg, Rediscovered Books (Boise, Idaho)

About ABA

We provide members with education, networking opportunities, advocacy, resources, and technology. In turn our members support local schools through book fairs, donations and author visits; promote literacy; provide inclusive community centers; connect readers and books; add character to neighborhoods; champion and center diverse and new voices; and contribute to the local economy. We feel honored to support them in their work.
