Schuler Books & Music Featured on WLNS-TV Holiday Shopping Report

WLNS-TV in Lansing, Michigan, visited Schuler Books & Music this past weekend and talked with Lansing store manager Rhoda Wolff, who was "breathing a sigh of relief" on Saturday. "From the moment we opened the door, people have been pouring into our store," Wolff told WLNS. "This has been our busiest day yet." And she added, "I think we are holding our own." DIESEL Brentwood Throws a Grand Opening Party

The newest DIESEL, A Bookstore celebrated its grand opening in Brentwood, California, on Sunday afternoon, December 7, and the store "was packed throughout the entire time," reported Events Director Robyn Kamimura. "A lot of reps, authors, and customers came through to congratulate us on the opening."

Although the bookstore was open for business through the last stages of its construction, "this was simply our official 'We're Here!' party," said Kamimura.

DIESEL in the Brentwood Country Mart, a high-end shopping center, is the third bookstore owned by John Evans and Alison Reid. The other DIESEL locations are in Oakland and Malibu. In June, Evans talked to BTW about their plans for the new store and the prospect of opening during a possible recession.
