Northern California Forum Entertains and Informs

On Sunday, April 2, at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, the American Booksellers Association held a Booksellers Forum and Education Program in conjunction with the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association's (NCIBA) Spring Gathering. About 85 booksellers from the region attended.

Board Ballot Deadline Approaches

Ballots for the 2006 ABA Board of Directors elections must be postmarked by Monday, April 17, 2006, and returned in the postage-paid envelope sent to ABA member booksellers in a mailing on March 20. Ballots received by the association's accountant, KPMG, after April 24 will not be counted.

Book Festival Blooms in Palm Springs

The Second Annual Palm Springs Book Festival on April 22 is the work of Chris Johnson, owner of the three-year-old Peppertree Bookstore in Palm Springs. The California village's first successful book festival organized by Peppertree debuted in 2005.
