American Booksellers Association is a national trade association that supports and advocates for the success of independent bookstores. In turn our members support local schools through book fairs, donations and author visits; promote literacy; provide inclusive community centers; connect readers and books; add character to neighborhoods; champion and center diverse and new voices; and contribute to the local economy. The nearly 300 ABA member bookstores that participated in the 2006 ABACUS financial survey will begin receiving their individual store reports at the end of October. The reports will be sent via e-mail to the address that was supplied when the store submitted financial data through the ABACUS survey form.
