NBCC Announces Winners of Annual Book Awards

In a March 11 ceremony, held at the Tishman Auditorium at New York University Law School in New York, the National Book Critics Circle (NBCC) announced the winners of its annual book awards. The fiction prize was awarded posthumously to W.G. Sebald for Austerlitz (Random House). Sebald died in an automobile accident in December 2001. His agent, Andrew Wylie, accepted the award.

Still Time to RSVP for ABA's Open House in May

ABA Bookseller members can still RSVP for the Open House at ABA headquarters in Tarrytown, New York, which will be held on May 1, 2002, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The event is a special way to welcome booksellers to BookExpo America and the ABA Annual Convention, as the show returns to New York for the first time since 1991.
