Sales Floor Manager

The Book Loft is located in the beautiful Danish city of Solvang in Santa Barbara County. A full service, independent bookstore since 1970, we have served the needs of local residents of the Santa Ynez Valley and the 1.5 million annual Solvang tourists.

We are looking for a results driven retail Sales Floor Manager to be responsible for the sales floor. Our ideal candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively.

This position reports directly to store owners and general manager.

Full Time position, Saturday-Wednesday preferred schedule 

Salary is DOE

Our ideal candidate is someone with 3+ years experience in:

• Proven successful experience as a manager in a retail setting
• Powerful leading skills and business orientation
• Customer management skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• interest/knowledge of Solvang and the surrounding area, as well as the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen
