Special Enrollment Extended: Join ABA Health Insurance Partner LIG Solutions for April 12 Webinar

On Monday, April 12, American Booksellers Association health insurance partner LIG Solutions is hosting a webinar for ABA members. The webinar, which will run from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, will provide an overview of the state of health insurance in 2021.

The webinar comes as the Special Enrollment Period, allowing people to regain access to health insurance options usually limited to General Open Enrollment, was extended through August 15 due to the pandemic.

With a new year and a new administration, things are changing — including health insurance options. The April 12 webinar will highlight changes in the insurance marketplace that will be taking place under the new Biden administration, followed by a discussion around the future of Association Group Health Plans. LIG Solutions will also go over frequently asked questions in the industry and review common misconceptions.

In addition to the Special Enrollment Period open now through August 15 due to the pandemic, health insurance subsidies were recently expanded under the American Rescue Plan. This change increases subsidies for people already eligible and offers new subsidies for higher-earners who previously did not qualify. Learn more about the increased subsidies here.
