#SaveIndieBookstores Fund Surpasses $710,000
The #SaveIndieBookstores campaign, which launched on April 2, has raised a total of $710,733 as of publication time.
To be considered for a grant, ABA member bookstores can visit SaveIndieBookstores.com to fill out a short application through April 27. Funds will be distributed to eligible stores by May 15.
Booksellers are encouraged to visit the media kit at SaveIndieBookstores.com to see press coverage and access a variety of digital assets to promote the campaign, including logos and social media images. Booksellers can also find reading-themed social media images in the Marketing Assets section of BookWeb.
Booksellers who would like to share their story with ABA and be featured among fellow booksellers encouraging campaign contributions can send an email to [email protected].
Author James Patterson has partnered with the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) and the American Booksellers Association to promote this campaign, which runs through April 30, at which point Binc will distribute the total funds raised to eligible independent bookstores.
