Retail Sales at Bookstores Up in March
Retail sales at bookstores were up by 5.1 percent in March 2015 compared to March 2014, according to preliminary figures recently released by the Bureau of the Census.
March 2015 bookstore sales are estimated at $686 million, compared to sales of $653 million for the same period last year.
Total retail and food service sales in March 2015 are estimated at $441.9 billion, compared to $432.8 billion in March 2014, an increase of 2.1 percent.
