Problems Processing a Gift Card? -- Here's Contact Info

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

If a bookseller encounters problems processing Book Sense gift cards, help is available from the program's administrator, Givex, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Before contacting Givex, however, booksellers should consider a few other options:

  • If you process via an integrated POS system (Anthology, BookLog, Computac/Square One/[I]Merchant, IBID, or WordStock), contact the system's tech support first.

  • If you process via WebPOS.givex.com, check that you can access other websites. If you cannot access other sites (for example, www.BookWeb.org, www.BookSense.com), contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) first.

All Book Sense Gift Card Program participants can process transactions via the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system or telephone back-up system. Bookstores received an IVR ID/password in their initial Welcome Letter from Givex. An IVR User Manual, with phone numbers, and a two-page Quick Reference Guide can be accessed via BookWeb's Book Sense gift card page. A password is required to access the manuals.

Gift card questions that do not require an immediate response should be sent to [email protected]. A response will be sent back generally within a day. Givex Customer Service is also reachable at (800) 962-4935 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST on weekdays and at (800) 265-8212 during evenings and weekends.

Stores can check on the status of orders for gift cards and presenters at booksenseorders.givex.com. (Log in using your store.givex.com ID/password. Click on account in the upper right-hand navigation bar. Click on details for the order in question. If the order has been shipped, you will find a FedEx tracking number, which can be used at www.fedex.com.)
