The new price is $149.99. Kobo will reimburse stores $19 for each unit currently in stock that is sold at the reduced price.
In order to receive the rebate via ACH transfer, booksellers must use the Kobo Reporting Tool to provide supporting documentation of the quantity now on-hand in stores by Monday, November 3.
For more details, see the Kobo Announcement Archive.
Say It in Store: You Sell E-Books
Remember to make the most of the Kobo Content Marketing Kit (sent to all participating stores earlier this month) to remind customers that your store offers books in all formats.
The kit includes:
- An acrylic stand to display the current Indie Next List
- A window cling promoting that the store website sells e-books
- Book stickers to do the same
- Tear off shelf-talker pads to promote the free Indie Reading App
Booksellers are asked to let the Kobo Support Team know if these materials are helpful or not by sending an e-mail to ABA Membership and Marketing Officer Meg Smith with the subject line “Kobo Marketing Feedback.” Let ABA know what works and what doesn’t, what staff likes and what they don’t. Your feedback will help with future planning.
