A Look at the Facts...

Fact number-one: This is absolutely the toughest time of the year for booksellers to send in nominations for the Book Sense Picks lists. Fact number-two: Your investment of a few minutes in sending in an e-mail nomination (or in using the online nomination form) will result in a fantastic return on investment when the February Picks list presents more outstanding fiction and nonfiction to your customers. (And don't forget that the newsletter and website staff picks from your colleagues make great Book Sense Picks nominations.)

There are two important upcoming deadlines:

• Friday, December 1, is the deadline for nominations for the February Book Sense Picks list, and
• Friday, December 8, is the deadline for the Valentine's Day Top Ten.

Send your nominations to [email protected] (with the word "Picks" in the subject line), or go to the online nomination form.

The Valentine's Day Top Ten is one of the lists that Book Sense produces in conjunction with the Association of American Publishers (AAP), and booksellers can submit nominations for either adult or children's titles in either hardcover or paperback.
