Last Call for Booksellers to Pick Indie Backlist Titles for ABA’s Summer Reading Group Guide

Voting ends today, Wednesday, March 20, for the best backlist titles from indie publishers, which indie booksellers will choose to appear in a special “indie publishers” section of ABA’s Summer 2019 Indie Next List for Reading Groups flier.

IPC logoTo kick off this new partnership program from the American Booksellers Association and the Independent Publishers Caucus (IPC), IPC asked its publisher members for titles that have a notable sales track in the indie channel and the potential to capture new sales in this channel. Now, booksellers have the chance to vote for any of these 21 titles via this webform hosted on BookWeb.org, and write blurbs for their top five choices.

After the voting period ends today, the five titles that get the most votes from booksellers will be chosen to appear in the Reading Group Guide, which will be mailed to member bookstores in ABA’s May Box Mailing. The guide is ideal as a handout at author events and special reading group nights and as a takeaway at the cash wrap and in-store displays.

Booksellers with questions about this new program can contact ABA Senior Program Officer Joy Dallanegra-Sanger.
