Last Call for ABC Best Books Catalog Orders

The order deadline for the 2017 ABC Best Books for Young Readers catalog is this Friday, September 8. Ordering is via a form on BookWeb.org.

The full-color, 20-page consumer circular, slated to be in stores in early October, will feature more than 200 frontlist and backlist titles for children and teens. Because the catalog carries no fourth-quarter/holiday branding, it is appropriate for use throughout the year.

This year’s catalog aims to suit a range of readers by featuring board books, picture books, and middle-grade and young adult titles, but also highlights new categories and themes, such as diverse characters, girl empowerment, and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Watch for an announcement of the full list of titles included in the catalog later this month in BTW.

The catalog cover features an illustration from Windows, written by Julia Denos and illustrated by E.B. Goodale, to be published by Candlewick Press this October, as well as space for the store name, address, and other details.

Members of the ABC Children’s Group at ABA will automatically receive 250 free catalogs with no imprinting (stores can join the ABC Group here). ABA stores that have opted to receive the Children’s White Box mailing will automatically receive 20 free catalogs with no imprinting. The online order form is for purchasing additional catalogs, either imprinted or plain.

Additional catalogs are available in units of 500 copies. The cost for each additional 500-unit is $25 for ABC Group members and $35 for non-members, shipping included. The one-time plate cost for imprinting, if desired, is $75 for ABC Group members and $125 for non-members. (Full details are available on the order form.)
