Five More Booksellers Head to Children’s Institute on Scholarships

Following the announcement of the 57 scholarships awarded to member booksellers to attend the American Booksellers Association’s 2019 Children’s Institute, a handful of additional booksellers have been named scholarship winners, courtesy of the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) and Publishers Weekly.

Binc scholarship winners:

• Betsy Groen, Blue Marble Books (Ft. Thomas, KY)
• Meghan Hayden, River Bend Bookshop (Glastonbury, CT)
• Laura Kendall, Second Flight Books (Lafayette, IN)

PW scholarship winners:

• Lauren Casey, Second Star to the Right (Denver, CO)
• Brooke Williams, Bookends and Beginnings (Evanston, IL)

The 2019 ABC Children’s Institute (Ci7) will be held June 26–28 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh–Green Tree in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
