Children's Institute 2020 LogoThe American Booksellers Association will offer dozens of educational sessions and a wide range of programming at the 8th annual Children’s Institute, which will take place June 22–24, 2020, at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona. The program is available now for review on BookWeb.org.

Registration for the event will open at 1:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 19. The event fee is $139 per bookseller, with a maximum of five booksellers per ABA member company. The ABA hotel room block will open on February 26, and rooms will cost $115 per night plus tax. Watch BTW for details about the event registration and hotel reservations.

Booksellers should arrive in Tucson on Sunday, June 21, if they plan to take part in any special events ahead of the Monday evening opening reception, including an anti-bias workshop or the brand new Bookseller Olympics challenge.

Once the institute begins, booksellers can expect to see the return of their favorite programming, including the Opening Reception Costume Party, ABA Town Hall, Galley Room, Author Reception, Rep Picks Speed Dating, and Publisher and Bookseller Focus Groups.

Educational sessions planned for the event will cover selling LBGTQ+ YA romance, alternative business models, book fairs, authorless events, backlist, reducing your store’s carbon footprint, used books in the children’s marketplace, and more.
