Independent bookstores, libraries, and schools are invited to participate in this year’s One World, Many Stories display contest for a chance to win a set of children’s and young adult books.

The voting deadline is May 2 for booksellers to cast their ballots to choose the winners of the 2018 Indies Choice Book Awards and the E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards.

ABA publisher partners and BookExpo exhibitors can still register for the session on the financial state of independent bookstores, which will now be held on March 22.

The March 13 education session in New York City, aimed at ABA publisher partners and BookExpo exhibitors, will detail the financial state of independent bookstores.

This year, booksellers attending the sixth ABC Children’s Institute (June 19–21 in New Orleans) will have the opportunity to participate in a chalkboard lettering workshop or a literary walking tour.

Under ABA’s Bylaws, any bookstore member may submit petitions to have the names of additional candidates for Board officers and/or directors added to the ballot for the 2018–19 elections.

BookExpo 2018 will kick off on Wednesday, May 30, with a full day of events, including Meet the Editors, Publicists Speed Dating, the Celebration of Bookselling Lunch, and the Silent Art Auction.
