The American Booksellers Association’s Board of Directors has proposed changes to two sections of Article IV of the association’s Bylaws.

Booksellers who have not renewed their dues are asked to submit their renewal as soon as possible.

“We urge booksellers and readers to instead reframe that question as: How do you write someone else’s story? And how are we, as an industry, elevating writers of color?” writes the committee.

The Membership Department is inviting members to get reacquainted with its team members, both so they know the team a little better but also know who to reach out to with questions. 

The new stores include a romance bookstore, a veteran-owned bookstore, a youth-based bookstore, a bookmobile, and branches of existing businesses.

For the upcoming membership year, the American Booksellers Association is inviting all member bookstores to renew their dues via an online form.

A special section on the American Booksellers Association’s website invites booksellers to create a store profile, adjust their e-mail preferences, and update their current store buyers.
