Join the Celebration!

The spirit of indie booksellers and the 2010 Indies Choice Book Award winners will be honored at ABA's Celebration of Bookselling Lunch at BookExpo America. Two booksellers from each ABA member store can reserve a spot at the Celebration, to be held on Wednesday, May 26, at New York's Javits Convention Center.

The free event, open exclusively to owners and staff at ABA member stores, will bring together indie booksellers and dozens of authors whose works have appeared on the Indie Next Lists.

Federal Court Narrows Ohio 'Harmful to Minors' Law in Free Speech Victory

 The American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE) has welcomed an April 15 federal appeals court ruling that held that an Ohio statute that imposes fines and prison terms for providing non-obscene, sexuallyexplicit material to minors cannot be applied to communications on websites, in public chatrooms, and through e-mail listservs and mailing lists.
