Tattered Cover to Sell Only Book Sense Gift Certificates with Bar Codes

Beginning April 1, Denver’s Tattered Cover Book Store will sell only Book Sense gift certificates in its stores in Cherry Creek and historic LoDo and on its Web site, www.tatteredcover.com. The store has made some slight modifications in the design of the gold Book Sense gift certificate to allow for ease of identification by its Square One POS system. One of the changes to the original gold design is the use on the back of the certificate of a bar code, which includes the certificate’s sequential number.

Bestselling authors Judy Blume, Pete Hamill, Roger Rosenblatt, and Paul Zelinsky have added their names to the list of authors who will participate in next week's online auction sponsored by the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE).
