ABFFE T-Shirts and Posters Celebrate Tattered Cover Victory

The Tattered Cover Book Store’s victory in the Colorado Supreme Court was not only a momentous decision for store owner Joyce Meskis and her colleagues, but also for booksellers and free expression advocates throughout the U.S. Booksellers showed Meskis their appreciation with a standing ovation at The Celebration of Bookselling at BookExpo America. Now, booksellers can show support for their customers’ right to privacy by ordering an ABFFE T-Shirt or poster.

Banned Books Week 2002 Kicks Off September 21

This week, the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (ABFFE), the American Library Association, and the Association of American Publishers announced that they are finalizing plans for Banned Books Week 2002. The celebration, scheduled for September 21 through September 28, is the only national event to highlight the importance of free expression.
