ABA member bookstore owners, managers, and event coordinators will meet with publicists from several publishers among the participating companies. During the timed “dates,” booksellers have the chance to promote their stores and discover what publicists look for when planning author tours. Representatives from the same store will rotate together to assigned publicists’ tables. Stores will be scheduled for seven rotations in total; details will be sent via email to participating stores a week or so before BookExpo. Pre-registration via ABA is required and opens on April 1; registration closes May 1.
American Booksellers Association is a national trade association that supports and advocates for the success of independent bookstores. We provide members with education, networking opportunities, advocacy, resources, and technology. In turn our members support local schools through book fairs, donations and author visits; promote literacy; provide inclusive community centers; connect readers and books; add character to neighborhoods; champion and center diverse and new voices; and contribute to the local economy. We feel honored to support them in their work.
