Winter Institute 9 Highlights Reel, Handouts Now Available

A new video posted to BookWeb.org this week by the American Booksellers Association affords viewers a peek at highlights of the January 2014 Winter Institute, held in Seattle. Video clips and still photos show the breadth of the program, from the bookstore tours and the opening reception at The Elliott Bay Book Company on Tuesday, January 21, to the closing reception on Friday evening, January 24.  In-between were three days filled with well-received plenary speakers, educational panels, networking opportunities, and special events.

For those who were there, enjoy the memories; for those who couldn’t make it, take a look and then save the dates for the Winter Institute’s 10th anniversary celebration to be held in Asheville, North Carolina, at the historic Grove Park Inn, starting with an opening reception on Sunday evening, February 8, 2015, followed by three full days of educational programming and special events running from Monday, February 9, through Wednesday, February 11. The Wi9 video will also be shown at this spring’s ABA Booksellers Forums around the country. Watch for Winter Institute 10 registration to open this fall.

A number of handouts and PowerPoint presentations from Winter Institute 9 education sessions are now available to ABA members on BookWeb’s Education Curriculum page.
