The inaugural Book Sense "Red Box" -- actually a white box with a large red sticker -- should now be in the hands of all booksellers who regularly receive the White Box mailings. The Red Box, a new monthly feature of the Book Sense marketing program, was created to serve as an in-store marketing action kit, and the Book Sense marketing team has pledged to ship these boxes by the 10th of each month to ensure the greatest possible exposure for title-specific materials as they tie into publisher's overall marketing plans.

Book Sense Marketing Director Mark Nichols has asked stores with Book Sense that have not received the May "Red Box" to contact him at [email protected].

In addition to time-sensitive materials provided by Book Sense Publisher Partners, the Red Box includes the latest Book Sense Picks flier and Top Ten pads, as well as other timely news and information from ABA and Book Sense.

Mailing of the May White Box, carrying galleys, ARCs, and finished books, as well as other less time-sensitive materials provided by Publisher Partners, is underway. (For a look at the contents of the May White Box, click here.)
