Board Ballot Deadline Approaches

Ballots for the 2006 ABA Board of Directors elections must be postmarked by Monday, April 17, 2006, and returned in the postage-paid envelope sent to ABA member booksellers in a mailing on March 20. Ballots received by the association's accountant, KPMG, after April 24 will not be counted.

Due to a printer's error, the initial ballot mailing did not include the special postage-paid envelope. On Monday, March 20, a second mailing -- including the envelope, another copy of the ballot and biographical data on the Board candidates, and the cover letter from ABA Nominating Committee Chair Cathy Langer of Denver's Tattered Cover Bookstore -- was sent to ABA member bookstores.
