ABA will again award the Avin Mark Domnitz Scholarship to attend the ABA Winter Institute to the owner or an employee of a bookstore that submits its financial data to the ABACUS Survey. The deadline for submissions to ABACUS-13 is July 31.

ABA main store members should be on the lookout for an e-mail arriving at the beginning of next week from the National Association of College Stores’ OnCampus Research with instructions for participating in ABACUS-13.

Bookstores that participated in the ABACUS-12 Survey should have received a customized report analyzing their 2012 financial results. The reports were sent via e-mail over the past few weeks.

Next Wednesday, July 31, is the final day for ABA member stores to submit their data to the ABACUS-12 survey.

The deadline for ABA member stores to respond to the ABACUS-12 survey has been extended to Wednesday, July 31. The yearly financial survey of ABA bookstore members has played an important role in the health and growth of participating businesses.

This Monday, July 15, is the deadline for ABA member stores to submit their 2012 financial data to the ABACUS-12 survey. For a link to the survey and a unique store ID number, look for a recent e-mail from OnCampus Research Information Analyst Martha Love with the subject line “ABACUS-12 Reminder 3.”

To receive a customized report that analyzes their bookstore’s financial results and compares it to other stores based on multiple criteria, ABA members must complete the ABACUS-12 survey no later than July 15.

The American Booksellers Association will once again be awarding the Avin Mark Domnitz Scholarship to attend the upcoming ABA Winter Institute (Wi9) to the owner or an employee of a bookstore who submits the store’s 2012 financial data to the ABACUS-12 survey before the July 15 deadline.

The ABACUS Survey of Bookstore Operations for FY2012 is a great way for independent booksellers to obtain free, detailed financial information for their businesses, but the ABACUS survey can only be produced if enough booksellers submit their numbers.

The ABACUS-12 Survey process has begun. On Wednesday, May 15, ABA main store members should have received an e-mail from the National Association of College Stores’ OnCampus Research with key instructions, updates, and links to the secure, online ABACUS submission form.
