  • Classifieds appear on here on BookWeb and are linked to from ABA's newsletter, Bookselling This Week, which is delivered to 15,000 readers (including booksellers, publishers, agents, writers, distributors, wholesalers, and the media) weekly on Wednesdays. 
  • All regular ABA member bookstores in good standing may have up to four free, two-week Classified Ad insertions per calendar year. Additional ads may be purchased at a 25 percent discount off the regular rate.
  • Publisher members are entitled to paid classified (non-commissionable) ads at a rate of $100 per ad. (Note: All classified ads require prepayment.)
  • Non-members are welcome to join ABA to take advantage of classified advertising.

Books of Wonder – E-Commerce Manager

Books of Wonder is looking for a creative, tech-savvy, and sales driven book lover with extensive knowledge of children’s books and e-commerce to manage our online store and team.

Books of Wonder is New York City’s largest and oldest independent children’s bookstore, featuring a carefully curated selection of new and antique children’s books, as well as a gallery of original art and prints from children’s books.

The Books of Wonder E-Commerce Manager will oversee all e-commerce and online functions as well as manage both the web and fulfillment teams. It is the E-Commerce Manager’s responsibility to ensure that all Books of Wonder’s online customers enjoy a great experience and that their orders are delivered with the utmost care and commitment to quality. The successful candidate will have a meticulous eye for detail, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communication skills, and excel at managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Team Management: Oversee in fulfillment and website team, which covers marketing, online orders, customer service, event publicity, and social media.
  • Drive Online Sales: Monitor online sales quarter-by-quarter, analyze performance, and formulate new marketing initiatives to encourage sales.  Monitor SEO, Google Adwords, and analytics. Experience with Shopify preferred.
  • Daily Operations: Make sure all online orders are processed and shipments prepared, organize web sales. Oversee related customer service issues that may arise.
  • E-Commerce Inventory & Updates: Manage and update online catalog via Shopify and other marketplaces. Ensure website reflects incoming and existing stock and is regularly updated.
  • Website Performance: Monitor website performance, track and analyze sales, suggest website improvements and work closely with developers to manage and vet contracted projects.
  • Collaborate and Communicate Regularly with Other Departments.
  • Maintain Relationships with Publishers and Authors & Artists
  • Manage Event Publicity and after-event follow through
  • Pre-order Campaign Development
