Booksellers at ABA member stores are invited to reserve a space at the Celebration of Bookselling Luncheon, to be held on Friday, May 29, at BookExpo America. The free event -- open exclusively to the owners and staff of ABA member stores -- will be held in the Special Events Hall at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Formerly known as the Book Sense Author Luncheon, the event will bring together booksellers and dozens of their favorite authors whose books have been past Book Sense Picks or more recently Indie Next List Great Reads or Notables. This year the luncheon will also include the presentation of the 2009 Indies Choice Book Awards to the winners and honor book recipients in six categories, plus the induction of the first titles into the new Indies Choice Picture Book Hall of Fame.

Reservations are limited to two people per store. Booksellers who would like to attend should make their reservations as soon as possible via an electronic form on Bookweb.org. Questions regarding the luncheon should be addressed to ABA Senior Director of Publisher Initiatives Mark Nichols at [email protected].
