Join the September 19 Marketing Meetup on “Love Your Bookstore” Marketing Campaigns

On Thursday, September 19, at 11:00 a.m. EDT, the American Booksellers Association will present a Marketing Meetup focusing on the Love Your Bookstore challenge, which takes place November 8–17. Booksellers can sign up now to participate in any upcoming Marketing Meetup.

Guest speakers for the September 19 meetup will be:

• Valerie Pierce of Sourcebooks
• Kelly Justice of Fountain Bookstore in Richmond, Virginia
• Becky Anderson of Anderson’s Bookshops in Naperville, Illinois

The speakers will offer an introduction to the Love Your Bookstore challenge, an overview of how stores have participated in the past, and ideas for how to market the event and get customers involved and excited about it.

ABA now offers two opportunities for live online education: the twice-monthly Marketing Meetup, plus a monthly Technology Meetup. All member booksellers are invited to participate in these online discussions; subscribe to the mailing list here to receive invitations for the Technology Meetups, Marketing Meetups, or both.

Note that there will not be a Marketing Meetup on October 3; the next meetup will take place October 17.
