IndieBound.org Launches Innovative Features

The summer reading season is kicking into high gear, and so is IndieBound.org. A number of innovative features have recently been added to help consumers find great titles... and nearby indie bookstores.
Here's a look at what's new:
The Indie Next List. The July Indie Next List is now featured on the site in a fun, interactive format that makes it easy for consumers to purchase these inspired indie recommendations. In addition to the Indie Next List titles, consumers can browse Indie Next List selections now available in paperback, the July Indie Notables, and Indie Bestsellers.
Revamped and Enhanced Shop Local Online. Visitors interested in shopping online for any of IndieBound.org's featured titles can now easily choose from a list of local stores with e-commerce sites. When consumers enter a zip code, they are presented with a list of nearby stores with e-commerce sites. Shop Local Online even allows users to mark their favorite for repeat shopping.
Indie Bookstore Finder Improvements. The improved Indie Bookstore Finder is much more user-friendly. Overlapping stores are now grouped into "clusters." Consumers can click on the clusters to see all of the bookstores in the area. In addition, searches can be further refined to locate only those area stores that accept ABA Gift Cards.
Search the Declaration of IndieBound. Want to know which of your customers have signed the Declaration of IndieBound? Now, anyone can search the list of signatories for a specific name, or the list can be sorted by "name," "most recent," or "city/state."
Affiliate Program Enhancements. It's now easier than ever to establish affiliate agreements with other sites interested in directing visitors to shop online at indie bookstores. IndieBound.org offers two handy tools to make affiliate linking easy: the Affiliate Link Generator and Affiliate Zip Widget.
