BookExpo America Calls for 2006 Speaking Proposals

BookExpo America is inviting the book industry to submit proposals for BEA 2006 Special Events and Education Programs, which will be held from Thursday, May 18, through Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the Washington, D.C., Convention Center.

Application requests and proposals for BEA Special Events, including adult author breakfasts, luncheons, and evening events, as well as the Editor and Bookseller Buzz Forum and African American Booksellers Conference, should be sent to BEA's Tina Jordan at [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is December 16, 2005.

Submissions for BEA's Children's Breakfast, scheduled for Friday, May 19, 2006, should be sent to Colleen Venable at the Children's Book Council at [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is October 17, 2005.

Proposals for BEA's Education Program, including seminars addressing a multitude of critical industry issues, should be directed to Mark Dressler at [email protected]. The deadline for BEA educational programming submissions is December 16, 2005.
