Board Office Hours are an opportunity for booksellers and bookstore owners to talk directly with ABA Board Members to ask questions, share concerns or experiences, and/or express their needs for support. 

We’re thrilled to announce our new campaign for Valentine’s Day, Indie Bookstores: Your Happily Ever After Starts Here.

This campaign includes social media assets (photos and videos!) as well as recommended text you can use for newsletters or socials.  

If you are a bookseller who has been affected by the wildfires and you’re in need of help, you can reach out to Binc for financial assistance and/or mental health wellness services. You can also reach out to ABA at [email protected] for more resources or to update us. 

The California Independent Booksellers Alliance (CALIBA) has also collected resources for impacted bookstores. If you are a CALIBA member, you can also update their Wildfire Mutual Aid spreadsheet.

If you are able, consider donating to the Book Industry Charitable (Binc) Foundation today to help booksellers impacted by the wildfires. Dav Pilkey, Forefront Books, Ingram Content Group, Macmillan Publishers, and Mad Cave Studios are generously matching all donations up to a total of $45,000!

The American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) is looking for partners for their February campaign, Choose Black-Owned Business Month. Part of their Choose Indie Local program, this campaign aims to inspire communities to celebrate local businesses.

AMIBA partners will receive access to campaign assets, event ideas, and other resources. There is no cost to participate.
