Authors:Honorée Fanonne Jeffers, Misbehaving at the Crossroads (Harper) Honorée Fanonne Jeffers is a novelist, poet, and essayist. Jeffers’ forthcoming nonfiction book, Misbehaving at the Crossroads (Harper 2025), explores historical and contemporary journeys of Black women in the United States. Pam Muñoz Ryan, El Niño (Scholastic) Pam Muñoz Ryan is the recipient of the National Education Association’s Human and Civil Rights Award, the PEN Center USA Award, and the 2024 Children’s Literature Legacy Award for her body of work. She received a Newbery Honor Medal and the Kirkus Prize for her New York Times bestselling novel, Echo. Kennedy Ryan, Can't Get Enough (Forever/Grand Central) New York Times-bestselling author Kennedy Ryan writes for women from all walks of life, empowering them and placing them firmly in charge of their own destinies. Her writings have been featured in NPR, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, and many others. J.E. Thomas, The AI Incident (Levine Querido) J.E. Thomas is the author of middle grade novels The AI Incident and Control Freaks. Control Freaks was named one of the Best Books of 2023 by the ALA Black Caucus and a Must Read of Summer by People. Editors:Aline Dolinh (UC Press) Aline Dolinh is an Editorial Assistant at the University of California Press, where she supports acquisitions in sociology and regional/urban studies. She is especially interested in acquiring more projects that confront the complexities and contradictions of Asian diasporic identity. Maya Marshall (Haymarket Books) Maya Marshall is Poetry Director and an Editor acquiring poetry and literary left narrative nonfiction at Haymarket Books. Winner of the 2024 Holmes National Poetry Prize, Marshall is the author of the poetry collection All the Blood Involved in Love (2022) and co-founder of underbelly, the journal on the practical magic of poetic revision. Ibrahim Ahmad, Executive Editor (Viking Press/Penguin Random House) Ibrahim Ahmad joined Viking as executive editor in 2021. His first title on the Viking list, His Name Is George Floyd by Robert Samuels and Toluse Olorunnipa, won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction and was a finalist for the National Book Award. Rakesh Satyal (Amistad/HarperCollins) Rakesh Satyal is an Executive Editor at the HarperOne Group/HarperCollins. An award-winning novelist, Rakesh has taught in the publishing program at New York University and sat on boards for noted arts organizations.
