IC 2.0 - Code Release On Dec 4th
We will be pushing a code release to all IndieCommerce 2.0 websites on December 4th. It will feature some highly requested changes to the order view page, making it much easier to use. Please see the IndieCommerce Feature Updates Page for more details on what will be included in this December 4 release.
IC 1.0 & 2.0 - Check Your Authorize.net Settings
IndieCommerce 1.0 and 2.0 stores should check their Authorize.net settings. We are seeing some major increases in online sales volume recently. Check to make sure that the Hourly Velocity and Daily Velocity Filters for your Authorize.net account can handle the increased sales volume. If it is set too low, it may stop processing your online credit card transactions. You can always reach out to Authnet customer support via chat from your Authnet account or call: 1-877-447-3938 for assistance. IC 2.0 - Paypal Issues
Paypal recommends reauthorizing all pending transactions that are more than 3 days old and we tried to follow their recommendation for IC 2.0 (IC 1.0 is not affected by this). But, the reauthorization past the 3 day ‘Honor period’ isn’t working as expected. This caused issues for stores that don’t capture payment for Paypal orders within 3 days of the order being placed. We are working on a fix to include in our December 04 release. For now, stores are encouraged to capture payments for Paypal orders as soon as possible.
IndieCommerce Support Thanksgiving Holiday Hours
The IndieCommerce support team will be off on November 28th - 29th. As always, we will be monitoring IC 2.0 and 1.0. If you experience a critical outage please submit a critical outage report. A critical outage might be that your website is down, or if a key function like 'search' on your site is down or the shopping cart on your website is not working. If your website is experiencing a critical issue like these, you may use this form to alert the IndieCommerce team. Daily Online Holiday Sales Volume Projections For 2024
Cyber Monday should once again drive the highest single day sales volume across the IndieCommerce platform this year. Online sales and traffic should then remain elevated through December 23rd when it will then begin to decline to pre holiday levels. Online sales across the IndieCommerce platform from 10/24/24 - 11/24/24 are up +2.5% vs the same period in 2023. Below are a few upcoming key dates to be aware of. |
