Book donations More than 80 ABA members registered to participate in our August 19 webinar about creating a pipeline of banned and diverse books from indie bookstores to the places they’re most needed. Many indies already have book donation programs, where customers can buy books to be given to those who need them, and we’re making a plan to help those who want such a program get it started. It’s not too late to get involved! Sign up to be paired with a grassroots organization for collaboration, or to simply stay in the loop. The ABA Right to Read Handbook The ABA Right to Read Handbook is almost here! Responding to the need for a comprehensive organizing guide for readers who want to resist book bans, American Booksellers for Free Expression (ABFE) is releasing a print book with an accessible history of book censorship, interviews with advocates, and practical how-tos to help you get in the fight. You can pre-order it now for your store through Ingram ipage or request a digital ARC. In addition, IngramSpark is holding a giveaway of fifteen print copies through Booklove, their indie bookstore initiative!
