There’s still time to apply for a scholarship for Winter Institute 2025 (Wi2025) in Denver, CO!

Scholarship recipients receive waived registration fees to Wi2025, a comped hotel room during the Institute, and up to $600 reimbursement for travel to and from the Institute.

Scholarship applications are due tomorrow, on Thursday, July 25.

Nominations are now open for the ABA Children’s Group Advisory Council!

The Children’s Council provides feedback about children’s bookselling programs and education as it is being developed, assists in supporting the integration of children’s bookselling into general bookstore education, advises on how to continue supporting children’s booksellers, and suggests improvements for education offerings at in-person and virtual events.

August 1 is National Poll Worker Recruitment Day! This is a day of action to encourage people to sign up to become poll workers. 

Power the Polls offers an online portal where people can sign up to receive local poll worker information.

Queer to Stay is designed to support small businesses that are owned by and serve the LGBTQ+ community. Selected applicants will receive $10,000. The deadline to apply is August 31. 

Fast Break for Small Business is designed to support small businesses by providing selected applicants with $10,000 and access to LegalZoom services. The deadline to apply is September 13.

Applications are now open to attend the 2024 Booksellers Association Conference in Hinckley, UK, September 22–23, through RISE Bookselling.

Applications are due August 12.
