IBD Map is Live!

Customers can now find all participating Indie Bookstore Day stores on the IndieBound IBD Map! We will be promoting the map on our social media channels and through targeted ads. The webpage also features the bookstore crawl and passport programs that were shared with us. 

Spirit Week Reminder and Assets

Starting Monday, April 24, join fellow booksellers for Independent Bookstore Day Spirit Week! Feel free to share the digital assets, use the hashtag #BookstoreSpiritWeek, and take part in the daily themes leading up to IBD on April 29. Need a refresher? Here are the Spirit Week holidays:

• Monday, April 24: Silly Sock Day
• Tuesday, April 25: Plaid Tuesday
• Wednesday, April 26: On Wednesdays We Wear Bookstore Shirts 
• Thursday, April 27: Book Character Dress-Up Day
• Friday, April 28: YOUR store’s Spirit Day

Amanda Gorman book plates coming separately

Stores that ordered Little People, BIG DREAMS Amanda Gorman will be sent the signed bookplates separately by Quarto. Most of the bookplates will be arriving in a letter size envelope via USPS, with a sticker of the IBD 2023 logo and Little People, BIG DREAMS logo. For stores that ordered more than 15 bookplates, Quarto is sending them in a larger bubble pak mailer via FedEx with the same sticker. The paperback will be sent by Ingram.

There’s still time: Plan your IBD Celebration

Check out our article listing how stores are celebrating the 10th anniversary of IBD! Submit your plans through the Google Form. These plans are also linked on the IndieBound IBD map web page for customers to see. 

Orders from Ingram: IBD Exclusives will start shipping next week.
When you receive your order, the label and invoice will have a PO Number with your Ingram Account (ie. Ingram Acct#_IBD2023). You can track your order by locating the “Find My Order” button at the top of ipage in your Ingram account and enter your Purchase Order Number or EAN/Product Code. For step-by-step instructions on tracking your order, locate “Ingram’s ipage Enhancements” feature in the Bulletin Board on your account dashboard.

Stores whose accounts are not in good standing with Ingram will not have their order completed or shipped. 

IBD IndieCommerce and IndieLite Webinar Replay:
The IBD IndieCommerce and IndieLite webinar recording is now available on BookWeb. The Help Document for IBD on IndieCommerce and IndieLite, as well as a copy of the slideshow, are also available.

Promoting IBD:
New digital assets, a press release template, and exclusive item images are available.

Libro.fm Promotion:
Your customers can get a free audiobook when they start a new membership and use the promo code BOOKSTOREDAY. Libro.fm is also running an IBD sale from April 24 through April 30. Share the link (www.libro.fm/ibd) and assets available soon on Libro.fm’s Bookseller Hub.
