Recommend Your Favorite Book Influencers

ABA is looking for book influencers to help spread the word about the 10th Independent Bookstore Day on April 29! We have a list of BookTokers, Bookstagrammers, and Book Bloggers, but would love to hear who you think we should reach out to for this opportunity. We want each region to be represented, and especially need recommendations for influencers in California and states in the South.

Openings for 2024–2025 IBD Advisory Committee

Have ideas for next year’s Independent Bookstore Day? We have openings in the IBD Advisory Committee! The Advisory Committee provides feedback on ideas for items proposed by publishers as well as promotional aspects of IBD from now through next April. It is made up of one or two booksellers from each of the regional associations. To learn more and submit your name for consideration, complete this Google Form by April 7. Our first meeting will be mid-May! You must be a member of a regional association to participate. 

Libro.fm Promotion

Libro.fm has a new member offer! Your customers can get a free audiobook when they start a new membership and use the promo code BOOKSTOREDAY. They are also running an IBD sale from April 24 through April 30 with amazing audiobooks at a special discount.

The IBD 2023 General Participation Form*:
Complete the General Participation Form by March 31, 2023. This is the last week to sign up to participate in IBD 2023!

*If you have already ordered exclusives, you do not need to complete this form.

• If your store is in multiple locations, you must fill out a form for each store location or RDC.
• Independent Bookstore Day is open to those who are members of the ABA, as well as their regional booksellers association.

  • Monday, April 24: Silly Sock Day
  • Tuesday, April 25: Plaid Tuesday
  • Wednesday, April 26: On Wednesdays We Wear Bookstore Shirts
  • Thursday, April 27: Book Character Dress-Up Day
  • Friday, April 28: YOUR store’s Spirit Day
• April 29, 2023: Independent Bookstore Day
