We are thrilled to announce that registration for Children’s Institute 2023 (Ci2023) is now open! Have your BookWeb login credentials on hand — you’ll need them to register!

What you need to know: 

  • It will be held **in-person** at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June 5–7, 2023.
  • The event fee is $255.
  • The ABA hotel block will open on Tuesday, March 21; rooms will cost $179 per night plus tax.

This annual industry event is filled with special programming and education for children’s focused and general bookstores, as well as keynotes, an author reception, and the always popular costume contest. We can’t wait to see you there!

Catch some of the action from Seattle with Virtual Winter Institute 2023! This digital experience will feature exciting keynote presentations, idea exchanges, and a virtual galley room. We’ll close out the day with a delightful game of bingo with Drag Queen Story Hour!

ABA’s Employee Retention Credit Partnership

We’re thrilled to announce that the American Booksellers Association has partnered with a professional accounting firm, Brightpoint Associates and Connect My Biz, that may be able to help you collect up to $26,000 per employee retained during some of the roughest months via an Employee Retention Credit (ERC) — not a loan or a grant, but a tax credit.

If you have not yet received Employee Retention Credits and have at least three W-2 employees (not including the owner or the owner’s family members) please join us for an informational webinar on Thursday, March 2, at 5:00 pm ET to learn more. Or, watch the recording from the last session.
