This week, November 24, 2022, is Thanksgiving. For our continued coverage of Native American Heritage Month, we invite our bookselling community to consider the stories we share and the stories that shape our nation. May this be a day of gratitude, giving, and respect for the land and the First Peoples of the land where we gather with friends and family. May we continue to honor Native people and champion Native stories.

ABA had the privilege of hosting Native Stories Now at Ci2022 in June, where we were joined by Danielle Greendeer, author of Keepunumuk: Weeâchumun’s Thanksgiving Story. A community is forming around the book, and the authors invite readers to Rethink Thanksgiving.

A fun Cyber Monday alternative! Booksellers: Join the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) in celebrating Cider Monday on November 28.

This holiday season, make sure you have "I Read Dangerously" waterless tattoos at the cash wrap or on display. They make great stocking stuffers! Please note the new minimum of 50 tattoos.

7. "Don't Box Out Bookstores" Assets
Remind customers to shop local with ABA’s Boxed Out and Shop Indie marketing and social media assets with your followers using the hashtags #BoxedOut and #ShopIndie.
